I mean hell, if it's going to rip the corner of my hatch off, it's probably just going to rip my engine out through the tailpipe as well.

ive seen them like that on fiberglass hatches and it will crack them the first tree you come across.
Like i said. Great work. I like it. If it was on a vehicle that didnt go in the woods it would be the greatest thing since sliced bread.
But your gonna hit it eventually.
Mount it behind the hatch, much safer place.Originally posted by Ktmracer419some people choose video games

Newer hatches are steel? Run the cable through the panel up to the roof then wherever you need it to go?
If its a fiberglass hatch run a ground strap to the bracket along with the cable to a ground spot on the body? Doesnt seam like a challange to meOriginally posted by Ktmracer419some people choose video games

I'm honestly not even that worried about it.
I don't go in the woods a lot and even if that did come in contact with a tree, it's a pretty soft metal and i'm pretty sure it would just bend it out of place. I doubt it would do any damage to the hatch.
There are all sorts of "What ifs". No place is 100% safe, and i'm willing to risk it.Hudson

While you're all at it, feel free to bash on my custom rear shock mounts as well. I thought i did pretty good. Rear shock mount bolts snapped off, made these up, and welded them in place. They work perfect.

If you actually think these are that great, i might begin making them to sell them. How much do you think they're worth? How much would you pay? I'd like to keep them on the cheap side. I just made these to suit my need, never realized everyone else had the same problem/would need a set.Hudson
