  • any input?

Looking to fix this death wobble of mine that keeps recurring because my draglink/tie rod are completely wasted. anyone have any expirience with this kit http://www.rustysoffroad.com/jeep-st...onversion.html
Ive read a lot of good with it, i DONT want to go over the knuckle, and i really dont want to stay with the stock Y-link setup. this seems to be my only course and also one of the best available. wondering if anyone here has any experience with Rustys stuff and if this is worth a shit. if not, does anyone have any alternatives or substitutes that would work well? Thanks

if you want bolt on, get a currie currectlync steering. Well worth the money, i have installed a couple on customers vehicles.

One ton upgrade isn't bolt on.

DO NOT buy rusty's anything..... it will cause you to die in a fiery inferno.

Also, are you sure it's the steering?? most deathwobble isn't because of bad steering but because of bad trackbar bushings/ends or bad control arm ends.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

Yea 99% positive, idiot before me did a shitty job with the drag link when he cobbed it together, no way to put castle nuts on the stud for the stabilizer and the nut thats on there backs out so it will back off on me and loosen up the whole front end every 3 weeks or so and makes her hop all over the damn road. so seeing as how im running 31's and i have a wheelin trip planned at Rausch in a few months. i may as well fix and upgrade

I have that rusty setup I bought used for $80..

            I overpaid.

But i'll be selling it soon though, if you really wanted. But personally I wouldn't run it. Its just a bad design and definitely not worth the ~$300 pricetag

Well amongst reading here and elsewhere about rustys, which I previously had a good image of I will NOT be purchasing any of their stuff. Looks like its one of the suggestions here or something entirely new that I may stumble across! thanks gents...

I had the rusty's kit. Total piece of shit and I regret paying more than negative money for it. I now have this kit and it is really nice and beefy haven't had a problem yet.

you could always pick up some junkyard v8 zj steering if you need it on the cheap. Throw a set of channel locks on it and wiggle it around see if the joints are sloppy
