renix abs/brake issues

Yesterday the abs pump on my 90 Cherokee ran for ten minutes straight. The sputtered and stopped. Brake light came on and my pedal is xtremely hard then it goes to the floor. Jeep barely stops. Anybody run into this issue before. This is my only car and need it not loosing brake fluid or anything either..

My pedal went all the way to the floor once on the highway due to a bad brake line pissing fluid all over the place. Foot to the Floor means loss of pressure, check for leaks.

Friends tj did same thing rear wheel cylinder blew out.

if it ran and ran the fluid had to be going somewhere. either a leak at a wheel, or your pump burned up and the heat boiled away your brake fluid.

Is there a hiss? If the pedal is hard at first, then goes soft, it may be the booster attempting to hold pressure, but then fails.

Text me the vin and i"ll run it.There is a recall/lifetime warranty type thing on the abs pump on some of the older ones that have that issue.

I said its not loosing fluid at all.

Have never had the ABS part happen but something got into the system on my Dakota and killed some seals in the MC. The pedal was hard until you slowly pushed the pedal. Your foot would go to the floor when you slowly push the pedal. I quick pump would stop the truck but not a slow push like you would under normal braking.

Apparently it had the recall and is under warranty but the jeep dealer doesn't have the tools lol.

exact thing happened to me dude. There's this crazy high pressure vaccuum ball thing that always goes bad. I cut my losses with that bullshit system and picked up a 96 master cyl, booster and prop valve. Made a huge improvement in braking power, and pretty much bolted right in.

I might do this if the dealer replaces the part I'm gonna fix the rust and sell it. And buy a subaru for winter uses
