I would suggest the portaband and the SAWG portaband table that's what I use to cut my tube notches.

I 100% agree. Portaband's are worth their weight in gold and will out perform a Sawzall every day. The Sawzall's place in only where you can't fit a Portaband.

the wiring section should consider "frustration" and "time wasted" as a monetary value

clocking it in at roughly $760,000

wiring really isn't that bad when you have the space and ability to lay everything out and keep it organized and take your time.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

When I go through and do all the wiring in this thread you will understand very quickly. Wiring is very time consuming and can cost a small fortune. With building these things you need to protect all the wiring, and I am not talking about just wire loom.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been working on a real world buggy

you forgot brakes my guess $1000 booster master cutting lines, flex lines, bias, calipers brackets pads rotors.

and hardware adds up fast another $500-$1000

Sorry didn't see the calipers pads rotors.
                            That's about right.

Flex lines master booster adds up.
Never mind the rest of the plumbing and fuel cell. dam AN fittings are $10 a piece and Walbro pickups and internal fuel line alone can run over $200.

i have built and raced 0 buggies

i however have friends who do both, and express to me the hassle and time (and sometime frustration) with tracking down wiring issues and doing it to begin with

                                good enough for me

more power to you if you dont forsee wiring as being a time wasting generally negative adventure however you yourself just said its time consuming, which is exactly what i said essentially
