I don't want to hear about welding your spiders is a bad idea, i know plenty of people personally that have daily driven welded gears and never had a problem.
In the near future i'll be getting 5.13's with a spool for the rear. But until then i'll be sitting on the stock (what i was told) 3.55's. I know once i finish my swap i'm going to get the itch to go test it out once or twice, and i would at least like to have 1 locked axle(obviously the 60).
My main concern is doing this with my arc welder. Like i said i see people with welded spiders all the time but most of the time they are using a mig welder. I don't know very much about welding so is this a bad idea or should i just go for it. Worst case scenario my spiders explode and the jeep sits in my driveway with FWD until gears come.
