  • no doors on zj?

So my hinge is rusted off my passenger door and won't close once opened and this morning my jeep rolled back and bent the driver door forward and that won't shut at all can I drive it with no doors legally?

no its illegal to drive without doors cause it ruins the structural integrity of the unibody when you remove the doors. ie if someone hits you its gonna kill you. i have a junk zj in my yard if you want me to pull the hinge for the passenger side, the drivers door is already gone sorry.

Whoever posted above me is incorrect, it isnt illegal to drive without doors. I'm aware this is an old thread I'm just posting for informational purposes.

        Not illegal.

If you need new doors, I have all four doors for a ZJ, doorcards too.

CT law is that you need to have at least one rear view facing mirror that allows you to see 300ft behind you, nothing against doorless.

Have you ever opened the door while you're flexed?

Anyways, there is no law that says you must have doors.

I take it you've never seen a UPS truck in your entire life let alone the millions of TJs, YJs, CJs and JKs that drive around doorless every day.

Doors don't provide any structural integrity, they're attached to the unibody by two hinges and then a latch.

Sure, they act as as a quasi-shield if you were to get hit directly where the door was, but other than that, they only are there for comfort
