SOA on a 95 YJ

A SOA On a 95 Yj what do i need to change if anything. Driveshaft, shocks i know, alignment im not sure i wanna get some info before i dive head in to a project i have no idea about lol but im just trying to get a SOA because im empty pocketed right now.... no money so trying to go cheap and dirty thanks sis

haha this can be easy , and hard at the same time

i replyed in the for sale section about the shocks

depends, on some spring overs you take your u-bolt plate and move it to the top of your leaf and axle... the plate also has your shock mount on it so you can use the same shock. also for the rear i recommend moving your axle side shock mounts flush with your axle tube. this will also allow you to run the same shock (within an inch or so)and give you clearance at the same time

- your going to want an SYE (slip yoke eliminator) and a cv drive shaft Note: measure for it after lol
- stock springs will work but will be soft, you SHOULD to find another set of stock leafs to take apart and add leafs to your stockers
- going to need an anti-wrap bar in the rear or you going to blow driveshafts/u-joints/yokes
- new shackles cuz the stock ones crack around the bolts cuz SOA flexes well (ask me how i know)
- your going to need high steer in the front to clear the leafs, you can get a kit from teraflex or get a d44 and put high steer arms on it
- moving perches and shock mounts, adjusting for pinion agle and caster
- bigger tires = more stress and need of a re-gear
the cheap way, is finding a hpd30 and a ford 8.8 with matching gears
the better way is getting a set of waggy axles, gearing and locking them
the best way is to just get full width ford d60's and calling it good

in all honesty if this is your first time lifting a vehicle and your not looking to spend a lot of money i would do other things first.

what gears do you have? if you dont have 3.07's get a 3" lift and run some 33's

my roomate just got a 3" lift for his yj off craigslist for $300 and all you have to do is move your break lines down and maybe get a pitman arm ($30)

Soa sounds way to complicated prob gonna do something else like a lift kit lol because all of that is alot of work id rather get a kit with all the parts and just put er in and get er done ill get some shackels and a two inch lift er something and put 32" so i dont have to regear.

i had 3.07's with 33" tires, its doable but if you DD your jeep its not enjoyable but if you have taller gears i would say 33"s are a good choice

SOA is a big job but i guarantee you will be happy with it. you can get a soa kit online and you just need to have someone weld the spring perches for you. i did a bolt on lift and i regret it terribly not because it was a waste of money. if you do decide your going to do a kit i'll sell you all 4 of my full leaf packs for the price of a set of waggy front packs. my packs cost $750 brand new and there exactly 1 year old in 2 weeks, and there in great condition. i also have track bar brackets and u-bolts and a t-case 1" lowering kit for free with the packs the only things you'd have to buy would be brake lines

i recommend not getting a 4 inch sprung under kit for a yj. stick to 3 inch and under. 4 gets into doing more stuff and springs getting stiff
