  • Decisions...Decisions (LONGARMS)

I know I've talked about this before but I have yet to make a decision yet. I'm going with Clayton but I'm not sure if I want to go with the Long Arm upgrade 4 link or if I want to go with a 4 link rear and the 3 link front. What are some of your opinions on both. I know Zullo will chime in here and I remember Danas thread for his TJ also. I'm still undecided!

The difference between the 3 link and the radius arms is marginal at best.

Jay Hopko competes RCrocs and runs a tj with our 5" strech kit on 35's. This past season he went from radius arms to the 3 link, he says that he can tell almost no difference.

The advantages also are really quite small, everyone makes it out to be that they are hugely better, they simply arent. They both with articulate the same amount. The benefit with a 3 link is that its alittle bit stronger, the hard mounted upper arm with the larger johnny joints helps alot to reduce wheel hop and reduce the torquing of the axle under load, Also for vehicles and drivers using/doing alot of front digs. Comp guys run the 3 link for this reason, they can put the truck in a real shitty place, beat the living snot out of it and the suspension will hold up. That is really the only major advantage to the 3 link, other than being like "ohh yea well my trucks got the 3 link up front".

Either way, you picked the best arms on the market!!! Proven Quality. I'll even offer the tour to show you every step of your arms being made

You will not be dissapointed, ohhh and the new trusses are in

Ohhh and if you wanted to be a badass, you'd run a 5 inch stretch

IRO's 3 link is not a legitimate 3 link. sorry.

Also, pretty sure all their TJ kits are radius arms.

gotta ask why?? Not picking a fight here, but i'd really like to know why people have an obsession with wanting to run a 3 link when it is completely unessesary for their application.
