  • Hydroboost and full hydro?

Does anyone know if I can run Hydroboost brakes with full hydro steering?

When you arent using the brakes, the pressure just bypasses the booster.

The thing i was thinking is that the full hydro uses a more powerful pump, would that be too much for the booster to handle?
Would it make the brakes too touchy and somewhat like an one/off switch?

I read Billa Vistas tech write-up on Pirate 4x4 and it seemed like he had some trouble getting his hydroboost and full hydro to cooperate... he would up going back to vacuum boost. Anyway, probably the best thing to do would be to call PSC or Howe and see what they have to say. I see a lot of poeple running hyrdoboost these days, so I am sure they have had to deal with it at some point.

I think i may end up going with a vacuum booster. only problem was it would interfere with the throttle linkage. I may just make a bracket to space it away from the firewall (maybe that can be my first welding job) or go with a throttle cable.
