what size rims for dana 60s

so i was doing some reading, seems i can run 15's but the rims have low bs. some guys on pirate are saying they did not have to grind at all some say they had to grind a lot.

the axles i got out of a 79 f250 are 16s

I tried to fit 16's on my front axle and the bolt that keeps the little I-beam in on the brakes locked the rim in place. It also rubbed my 16.5's and I had to grind it down. When I buy tires I'm going with a 17in steelie and some diy beadlocks. I'm also going to weld in a bar on the inside of the rim so the inner bead sits between it and the rim lip.
