  • looking for fabrication inspiration....

any of you guys that use other forums besides sis know of any threads that i could check out for making...

    1) stand up rear shock mounts, i think somone here did this. they go threw the floor...

    2) mild front exo cages that tie into the front bumper/sliders...

    3) saw a pic once of a jeep with front shock hoops and long travel shocks, id like to see that build...

    4) lower mounting locations for front shocks with long arm kits

just really want to see what ppl have done im throwing around some ideas for my new jeep i want to build it right and take my time to work shit out... kinda want this one to last and possibly do a comp or something this or next year...

Any reason in particular Sam? Loss of cabin space, the holes it makes lol?

Just asking because I was planning on doing this, and haven't heard a specific persons account of the pros and cons from actual usage

mine were pretty out of the way

and i had no holes because i conveniently did the gas tank tuck and had that all sealed in.

but its a lot of work and for crawling there is no real significant gain. just get a good shock in there and call it done. i have plenty of flex with stock length shocks and high clearance mounts
