About trying something like this:



boatsiding my tj with delrin or derlin or dramamine or whatever the fuck that stuff is called. I would add a bit of a rock slider/step if i did this as well and a flat belly skid.
not anytime soon, but maybe next winter. just curious about how everyone likes the look/feels about it. let me know.

From everything Ive seen, boat sides are quite labor intensive but I think its a great idea if you can do it. You could skin them with some HDPE to help you slide better too. Boat sides and flat skid all with some HDPE or similar product would be a 1000x improvement. I say go for it! Do it before you cage it so when you bring your front dash bars into the floor, you tie them right to the boatside.

This is my biggest concern. not saying im not confident that i can do it, and do a good job, but im a little hesitant to cut up the tub of my rig for no real good reason. I do reeealllly like it tho. im thinking this has to happen.
