Well after OER I has bent unibody Before it worsens and I can no longer close my doors I want to fab up a set of stiffiners. Im thinkin 3x3x1/8 angle should work. anyone have any ideas or input on this?

I gotta do something like this as well. Im not using my HD offroad engineering ones because of the way my sliders and long arms are. just havent put them up for sale yet. but def post some pics cause I wanna see what you come up with

Id shoot for 3/16 thick, that seems to be the most common used, plus you wont have as hard as a time getting good penitration with the welder and not blowing holes through your unibody.

I had to cut my hd enginnering ones to fit because of my sliders.

my ruffstuff ones went on pretty easily, theres just A LOT of prep work involved and A LOT of welding but they are coming out pretty sweet..... literally all i did so far are the plug welds. They are no doubt a lot of work. hahha. gonna be cool too, cause it makes for a great point to tie my rock sliders in to.

I still need to get the front ones from doug and figure something out for when i do the rear.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

i just welded up my TnT stiffeners, and id say either 3/16 or 1/8, any thicker is just overkill, and unless your actually going to attach stressed parts to it, such as me using them to mount my longarms to, 1/8" should be fine

                    tnt is 3/16"

                    but chyea

1/8 i would say is plenty sufficient

Think I'll probably go 1/8 and only gunna do the center for now between lca mounts and leafs probably going to use 3x3x1/8 angle to do it

your hobart 140 can run run shielding gas and solid wire

it makes welding a lot easier and prettier
