  • Project Used

well when i first joined the forum here, i introduced myself with a picture of my jeep at the time, heres what you saw

well a few months later, and some $ and alot of used parts, heres what she looks like now

    5.5" Rubicon lift
    33" BF A/T on cragar's
    K&N air intake
    bored throttle body/spacer
    JCR stage 1 rock sliders
    JCR stage 1 front bumper
    stock skid plate up front
    stock gas tank skid
    warn t-case skid
    rampage headlights
    np231 with sye
front axle: hpd30 with aussie locker, 4.56's, wj brakes, otk heim steering, lca skids, boxed in pass uca mount, diff cover, alloy shafts and 760 joints
rear axle: d44 with ausisie, 4.56, roxolid cover, alloy shafts
    tj flares

the reason i call this project used is because almost everything on this jeep is used, save some cash that way.

the lift kit, tires, and roof rack came off of this

which i decided to then crash

so i picked up my current jeep for a sweet $1700, came with leather, fully loaded, power/heated seats, had about 200k on the body, but the motor had been replaced with about 100k on it. a little after i got her

shes come a long way in a short amount of time

my first big purchase, and what i thought at the time was a "good deal" was a pair of built axles i got from a guy off NAXJA.

hpd30 locker gears yadda yadda, 8.25 alloy shafts zj disks. i threw these in and wheeled them at rausch they did awesome, broke some joints, didnt think much of it. a few months after i bought them the front end locked up and the pinion was destroyed. i was already planning on buyint a d44 off another naxja member, so i decided to buy his front end as well, helped him pull them and he gave me an unbeatable price. first thing i did was pull the covers and check out the internals, gears have less than 1k miles on them and they look brand new.

probably the coolest thing to do to a cherokee

along the way i added the TJ flares because i was catching heat from the fuzz, and theres no way im dropping ridiculous money on bushcrackers. im not really a fan of the tj flares but whatever, 20 bucks for the set and their kinda growing on me.

alright so ill post up some random pics

    thanks for lookin

also, i almost forgot. bought a rear storage setup, and picked up some rubber matting from home depot to keep the stuff on top from sliding. has a hi-lift mount, and also both sides fold up for extra room.
