One day i hope to do the complete 97 plus conversion, doors etc but for now i dont wanna paint it.

What WJ leather do you have? I have tan and i want black or gray. Wanna trade?

I dont have them yet. I dont even have the MJ yet, but I want to do tan because the intior is tan.

Its not bad, a little rust on the driverside floor board. He washed it up and it looks a lot better. I tjust looks ugly cause of the red, but Im going to paint it black if he doesnt.

Thats the plan. A little high milage but im getting it for a pretty good price. He started painting the bottom black and it supposedly looks great.

I would honestly strip off all that paint, if you dont and you try to paint over it it will never adhere right.

Thats why i am getting this mj from alex, its only got 107k on it and its in great shape, perfect for a rebuild base vehicle.

Actually the paint is drying fine on it. Im sanding down with 100, then wetsand with 400, 2 coats of primer, wetsand with 400, 2 coats of black, wetsand with 1000 then one more layer of black.

I am not saying your paint is gonna be bad, but the spray bomb red will provide for a very bad surface to paint on unless stripped. Who knows what kind of prep if any was done before it was painted.

I painted the wiper arms and the plastic panels on the rear of the cab black. Its a flat black. I might do a section with the gloss to see how it looks but the flat goes with the flat red. I still need to do a few more coats on the section of the bed.

Well today was very productive. Took a mental health day off from work and did some stuff. I gathered parts for the Mj as well. I got a 01 Headerpanel and headlight bezels for $40, the HP is cracked at the bottom but i can fix it. Its white and so are the headlight bezels so it can all be painted easily, also got 98 xj front flares that are green so they will accept paint well too. Also grabbed a set of 98 mirrors for a total spending today of $70.
