well I'm finally starting to work on this thing tomorrow. I have to grind off all this shit that's welded to the unibody where the old control arms used to be. It's gunna be a bitch. Everyday I stare at it and try to decide whether or not I should just scrap it. So much more rust than my old one. Gunna need a lot of work to get streetable.

cut/ground off the remnants of the old control arm mounts. Made 3/16 plates to weld there, going to weld more plate up the frame rails as well. I'm gunna weld the Ruff Stuff brackets on and then some gussets to make it super stiff.

alright well after the combined partial college edumacations of three of us we got the mounts all welded. Threw a gusset on each bracket for extra strength as well as fat spot welds on the brackets themselves.

It seems to me like there was a lot more to this than we originally thought. The littlest variation seems like it could seriously fuck the whole set up. I dunno.

In short the whole thing was a pain in the ass and I don't recommend it to anyone. But on the plus side now I just need to bolt everything in, bleed brakes and change the gear oil.
