dont you dare put a hoop on that bumper. and you can definitely countersink in 3/16 material. I did it on my quarter panel armor on my xj

I like it the way it looks without the hoop, but I won't know until I see it both ways.

Unless you plan on running a winch or a bunch of lights up front it's more for looks than anything else.

                        • i dont really know that kits pretty new and just came out...i think with 99-01 WJs they dont tell you you'll probably need a new front driveshaft at 3"s or higher....i needed one at 2.5"s...i would just piece together a lift and buy Iros coils since they have 3 4 5.5 or 6.5"s....you can also try teraflex or rockkrawler..

                          • BTW teraflex has there 4.5" WJ coils for CHEAP http://www.teraflex.biz/products/sho.../overstock?p=2

id hop on those and then either go short arms or long arms from there..

                            • yea 4.5" long arm on 33's/35's would be the ultimate plan, but funds don't allow much to be put into the Jeep at the moment.

Anyway back to the build thread, thanks for the input

                              • I say no on the hoop. I think if you finish cleaning it up the way it is and paint it it will look amazing.
