Yeah, the 1894 Cowboy has a 20" octagonal barrel. I've cut a few barrels down on the Cowboy, down to about 16.5" and I have to say, even with the octagonal barrel, they looks fucking sexy.

Get an extended slide release, you won't regret it. Best thing I ever did to my Kimber.

external extractors are the suck

about 80 rounds, about 4 or 5 failure to extracts, 2 stove pipes

using factory loaded hornady and federal ammo.


i donno what i should do. return to the gun store i bought it from... or suck it up and buy replacement parts to fix it? maybe i should contact Kimber and see if they would give me a discount

Before you get rid of it keep trying different ammo or see if there is an aftermarket heavier coil spring for the extractor.
