As for the Magpul grip, that's retarded. Every AR15 lower is made within the same military specifications, so unless someone screwed up, the grip should fall right on there.

also the gun seems to have a bit of receiver "wiggle" :/

It doesn't increase accuracy or any of that bullshit, but it will tighten up the play between the upper and lower. I used to have one, then I found receivers that matched and made them into full AR15s.

You can probably find it cheaper elsewhere, or maybe someone will give you one for free.

Some people put a rubber O ring around the rear upper receiver peg to tighten the fit when they are together.

the pins seem to be okay, but i can grab the upper while holding onto the grip and wiggle it around. it was like that out of the box. the gun shot fine, its more of just an annoyance to me

sighting in the EOtech is easy. Flip up the Iron sights and just line up the EOtech accordingly.
