  • Monkey's New Rock-et

Ok so after 5 years without touching a 4x4 the bug has bit me again I bought a Winter beater on craigs list.

Now I need to decide how to launch the Why-J. It is starting out as a 95 wrangler with a 4cyl 5 speed no need for a picture of that, just drive north of the Mason Dixon line and the roads are lousy with them

So tonight I made the first parts run for it...36" TSL super swampers for 15" rims (used) also a craigs list find. Now Here is the thing...
stock ride height jeep + 36" tall tires = FAIL But it's not like I didn't know that. My last rig was a 86 Susuki Sammi on the same size tires... I will do this! besides $250 for 4 36s with > 50% tread no way I could pass that up!

I'm thinking toss the leafs and jerry rig some coils under there but i wanna get truely stupid with the welder and make it adjustable ride height so i can get high when i need to and keep it low profile for that god awful time between trails. Anyone seen this done yet? I don't want to buy a kit
If you can buy the parts in a store, is it realy custom?

Highline/flatfender and comp cut the rear. Do it. Waggy 44 front and waggy springs will increase your wheelbase.

                    Comp cut

I think i have the high line figured out pretty much but where do I put the gas fill tube when I comp cut the rear? love the idea of longer wheelbase but don't understand the "waggy" would J-10 parts work? (good deal on CL)

Anyone with experience wanna lend a hand doing a comp cut? (directions on how / hands on help)?
