      • inverters are where its at. i have another pure sine wave one i need to wire into the back of the jeep once i get my dual battery setup. Ive been eying and HID kit for my Hellas for over a year but i just cant justify it cuz i barely use my rooflights...someday when i have spare cash.

only problem I have found is you apparently cant or "shouldnt" use more than 6 feet of the heavy gauge wire when you hard mount it, which im sure you know. I wanted to put it in the back of the XJ, but now I dont know where I wanna mount it with that short of a lead. I dont want it in my engine bay. we will see i guess. I wanted to avoid the hassle/cost of dual battery

          • I have a 2000watt one within 4 feet of my battery for my front one. The problem with most inverters is that the attachment clamps are made for smaller gauge wire so even if you run larger gauge wire it still "bottlenecks" at the connection point because you have to trim the wire to connect it. my pure sine is only 300 watts and I got it free so I'm still debating actually ever using it or not. But there aint no kill like overkill.

                        • You're small, Nicole, plenty of leg room in there even with the inverter.

                          • I have my power inverter mounted under the passenger seat. You can access the plugs from the back seat pretty easily and its tucked out of the way

$100 says I can make it more than 50 miles

You got to know when to build them, and know when to scrap them.
