pretty sure i still havent got 100% of the air out, getting very close though. definitely better than it was with the old calipers. i think my problem is that because the rear calipers arent oriented in the same fashion as the stock monte carlo setup(even though the bleeders are facing in a general upward manner) there's air getting trapped above the bleeder screw within the caliper. just enough to make it... off.
another possibility is that theres not enough residual pressure in the system to actuate the brakes at the top of the pedal, to remedy this there are 2lb resdual valves available from the same company i got my conversion kit from which should bring the pedal back up to spec if the first method doesnt work

winter preparedness is kicking up, got the tubing thats been sitting in my garage for 2 years cut up and welded onto the box rockers the other day
also popped in a "new" starter off the parts truck, no more click-click-click-click of the shitty solenoid
installed 2 door seat hinges on my lowback xj classic seats so now i have some extra storage forward if i need it.

had to replace my SET10 bearing and seal on the drivers side of the 44. the vent had ripped through its threads and allowed salt water to get in when i was driving through flood areas in the days after the hurricane. so i went to drain the old gear oil and replace it i give you this for your viewing pleasure:
BABY SHIT GEAR OIL STANK....
so after doing that and previously replacing my rear driveshaft AGAIN, the jeep is driving smoother than it has in a long time. unfortunately the rear gears still whine as they always have so theres still that but ive dealt with it thus far without much issue. im just glad to not hear screaming bearings, smell boiling gear oil on my rear rotor, or have the driveline clunk into gear because of a shitty shitty slip shaft on the rear DS.....2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited

waiting on the transfer case shift cable to come in from novak, then i have to find time to swap in the 5 speed, and once the harness is in i can bolt on the supercharger and get it tuned... believe me when i say, its taken way longer to get to this point than i had hoped2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited

completed the swap at 1 this morning, took it for a test drive and all seems to be well, the drive in to work this morning went smooth, its just a matter of getting used to the direct drive and the torque that the auto was sucking up2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited
