really have no need for one at the moment. I live in dorms in Virginia, it wont be till next summer when I can think about buying/renting a house so even if I had one now, i wouldnt be able to use it in virginia. My neighbor has a welder that Im free to use whenever, I suck at welding, he will do any welding I need for free/beer. Im gonna try and take a welding class or two, since I wont be paying for it.Originally posted by fullwidthxj191 View Posthave you thought about buying yourself a welder

ordering all my parts this week. some stuff changed a little. Not spending 500 dollars on a bumper right now, thats gonna wait a little bit, not a necessity at the moment. Should be back in the states in 20 something days.

if you get the HD track bar kit and mount it is half inch bolts. i drilled my ends out to be 9/16.

talking about the TNT tracbar
I wouldn't go away from it if it were me. It's strong as all get out and uses a 12 mm bolt vs RE uses a 10 mm bolt. And I'd sell the RE before I sold the RK trackbar. All these guys will stand behind their parts. RE and TNT before RK will. There's a reason why I don't deal with RK. Part of it's business and part of it is personal. They've never once taken care of me personally when I've had their parts fail. So why would they take care of my customers? That's the way I look at it and that's why I'm not a dealer for them. So again, I'd still recommend the TNT tb. Let me know.
if its just the bolts with the tnt kit that suck, can I just not use the bolts that come with the kit, or should i still go RE?

at least you arent geno and put 10k in a rig that you parted out for 2500 a year later then built up another jeep the next year almost exactly the same.
my build has parts on it i bought in early 2006. and im sure i have more money than i think into it.

ive got 6 grand to spend. People think im nuts that im willing to spend that much money on a jeep that cost 1700 bucks, but its going to get me back into wheeling, and all of the parts are transferable to another XJ if i fuck this one up, and the axles will hold their value and I can sell em. I guess its kind of an expensive build but when people add up the cost of their builds, im sure it would be close. I think its so expensive because im doing it all in one shot. idk
truss is expensive i guess, but after i buy all the brackets, and the time involved in trying to make all the geometry line up, its worth it for me to spend the money on the truss. I just saved 200 dollars on the locker by finding a sick deal on pirate, so i guess it wont be as bad .

I've got the TNT inner brace and outter bracing both sides w/ the ARB front bumpR. You could get the TNT inner & outter bracing & buy a different bumper.
