    2 out of 3 today:

    1) Front hub stud retapped, so now all 5 lugs hold the wheel on.
    2) The rear wheel FINALLY came off, so that's good
    3) Replaced the rear shocks that were blown with a used set of rough country's......

BUT, now the XJ rides horrible. These leaf's have gotta go asap. It now rides like a chopped up Honda.
    1998 XJ.....Finally.

In the process of getting a new set of leaf's and new unused shocks. That'll fix it.

Got the new parts today, and they are MINT. I'll take pics tomorrow night while I'm installing the new shocks and the rusty's stabilizer. here's a breakdown of what was acquired:

-(2) 3 yr old like new leafs.
-New shackle to leaf bolts and nuts.
        -(2) Brand new advance specials.
        -New drivers side tailight.
-(1) Like new Rusty's steering stabilizer.
....at $140 for all, I couldn't beat the price. Value of everything is around $400
        1998 XJ.....Finally.

Fail of me for forgetting pics, but wanted to get the parts on before the storm tomorrow. But everything is on besides the leaf's and this thing is back on track.

Well, I tried the leaf's today....and didn't go too well. A worthy effort on my own, and everything loosened up....but: The front eye bolt back out 1/2" and then just caught on the bushing. Won't come out any further and neither will it go back in at all. I seriously need the use of an impact gun

Sunday may be try #2 if anyone wants to lend a hand.

Project is on hold while I wait for someone's assistance with the leaf spring removal/install. Nothing else I can do at this point.

Back to this since all the issues have been sorted with the ZJ. Finally have a helper for the leaf's in a week or so. Until then, gotta run the XJ through emissions and then the 31's will get mounted on the canyons. Finally.

Saturday should be a big day. Hopefully, a good update will ensue. Tires, suspension, possibly more involved.

....also, rattly cat and all....emissions went perfect. Guy checked it over and was impressed about the condition it's in for 195K.

So much for a good weekend.....XJ decided to have an electrical issue this morning, so no trip to get things done this weekend. New multimeter picked up for a day of hide and seek Jeep style tomorrow

Well, that was easy. Alternator is the culprit. Started at 12.3V, went down to 11.56 after 30 seconds and continued to drop from there.
