So i went to the local thursday carshow as usual and some of the guys wanted to go wheeling. well we went and then this ended up happening...
Broke the driverside axle shaft right at the locker. luckily no damage to locker but the bearing on the carrier got pretty messed up.
Being the 35 as a Cclip driving it out was pretty much impossible without the shaft sliding out. So. a very good friend of mine WRPOOLE said "use a highlift with ratchet straps! they did it on topgear!" so i said WTH lets give it a shot. thru the spare on put the highlift in place with straps, some brake fluid for lubrication. and resulted in this
IT WORKED! i couldnt believe it. i had to drive off the trail for another mile or so. parked it in a highschool parking lot. got another shaft and swaped it for the drive home Thanks so much to Wrpoole and MReeceW for helping me out
I also found a cherokee D44 on craigs for 75$ and guy was like you need the hitch too? take it. what about the gas shield? take it. haha i could have took whatever i wanted but i had already practicaly stole the 44 from him.
been a while since last update. again.. mods include hitch, hitch tire carrier, dana 44 installed, RE adjustable tracbar, RE adj upper and lower control arms, RockyRoad drop brackets, Beat Jcr stage 2 siders, Roof rack with lights and some other ods and ends pics to come
