I figured i should quit being lazy and continue my build thread on the new site. I haven't done much lately to the jeep but i have some big plans for it in the near future hopefully as long as money permits. First i need to fix up normal maintenance items though. i will update the parts list with red text for completed items
I will make list of plans and try to follow the list as i get my paychecks
-replace P/S pump
-buy/make a real 1 ton steering
-get BPE's all around
-replace t-stat/housing gasket
-fix trans cooler line leak



Larger plans for down the road
-Find a deal on 33's/35's
-Find 44's
-lock and regear 44's
-replace all 4 shocks
-bumpstops
-shave the head/port match head to manifolds on spare 4.0 and swap motors
-tie in both bumpers

new unit bearings yet?

yes, i replaced both unit bearings with 1 year warranty ones from napa so if they dont die in 1 year i will return them a week before warranty.

i will be picking up a pair of waggy 44's on sunday and then waiting for my money to come back for tax returns. plans for the axles include:
-5.13 yukon gears
-warn premium manual hubs
-alloy shafts all around
-lockers of some sort
-1 ton steering

I also pulled the valves from the head today so its all set to be sent out for some light machining.

damn right. i'm gonna swap out my 35's for a set of civic tires, much better gearing

picked up the axles today. seems like it would be a simple task but turned into a several hour job. Front wheels were basically fused together to the hubs/rotors. Ended up pulling the hubs apart and cutting the calipers off with a torch. Started stripping the axles down today and already broke a 19 mm on the shocks and a breaker bar and 3/8" ratchet trying to get the nut off the upper ball joint.

Those axles look like fucking hell. Fuck PB, get that goddamn wire wheel out.
