  • Axle Regear.

Who here is good at gearing axles? i mean really Good. You can trust yourself to gear a daily driver without second guessing at all. You will stand behind your work.

And what would you charge me? I May only need bearings replaced, i really dont know.

Anyone who knows me knows my poor track record with axle gears, and i want this to be the final end to it.

Someone throw me a bone..its been a rough road

I'll do it for free here at Wyotech in my drivetrain class if you bring it to western PA. All our work is overlooked and checked by ASE master tech's.

I think about it now, I could probably do a d44 or a d30 in my sleep. I counted the other day and i think i did close to 57 or so axle overhauls. Out of the truck top to bottom. I lost count of jobs of just bearing swaps and just installing a locker or posi.

GM 12 bolts, 8.8's, d44's, d30s, d60's, toyota 8"s, ford 9", 14bolts, gm 10bolts, and what looked like a d30 but was in an old forklift i overhauled?? Have not done a d70 and i have one in my shop i want to turn into a rear steer axle, or an 8.25 of all axles?? or a d35?? yet... OR any chrystler axle for that matter.... eh...

Out of all of them, one problem with a d30 inner seal, and the last d44 i built that i think when i built it, i must have missed cleaning out some dirt or something in the housing and it got into a bearing. Waiting for him to get it back to me. Otherwise no one has come to me with a problem with an axle SO far... and all have a few hundred miles on them all now... DD's, a few nice race/muscle cars, wheelers...
