    Hey guys,
Im looking for a paintball gun. I figure most people have an old classic paintball gun laying around a garage somewhere. So, If ya have anything, post it up and i'll make an offer if interested. Let me know what ya have!

    Thanks
Is it egg nog season yet?

Probably not. I'm looking more for higher end guns (but they don't hold their value, so a high end gun from 10 years ago is next to worthless now). The a5 is a sweet mechanical/scenario marker though.
      Thanks anyways!

          No thanks.

I figured more people would have angels, smart parts, bob longs hanging around in closets and garages from back in the day!

I would think your still going to pay at least $300-500 for those, even older models. I had a smart parts impulse that was customized by 32*. Man that gun was freaking awesome. It ran on 80 psi, which is extremely efficient for a paintball gun! Thing wouldn't break a ball in the barrel if you tried.

Unfortunately now all I have left is my tippmann 68 carbine. Old school baby. Still shoots excellent too.

              What is your price range?

I used to browse paintball forums all day and still remember a good share of information.

Right now the best electronic marker you can get for the ~$200 range is the GoG Extcy. It comes in at $250 new, and has the blackheart board. One of the best in that price range.

However, people try to compare it to the Dangerous Power G4 for $280 new, but that has some known problems that have supposedly been "sorted out" but people still report getting guns with problems. (air leaking through macro lines, regulators, etc etc.)

I actually have the gog extcy in my closet, but nobody ever wants to play paintball, so it just kind of collects dust. Gun is amazing though. I love that thing.

Just remember, a good gun is no good without a good loader and a good tank to use it with.

Not even close. Which sucks for people who spent $1000 on those guns back in the day. An original impulse (not private label) is worth about 60$-100$ depending on condition and vision. I just sold a private label one for 100$ to buy a different one.

The GoG Extcy is essentially the smart parts ion. (The handle all of the smart parts line since they went under) It's a low end electro that can keep up appropriately but is definitely not up to tourny standards. I have no issues with it, as I just play rec ball mostly. I just have a thing for the classics. Especially since they still keep up, they're just too heavy to be considered a viable option in tourny play. That being said, that makes them near worthless in resale value. If you ever want to play just shoot me a PM.

I'd take a look at pictures, but I have will have to look at prices. I have to assume they're going to be pretty much not worth much based on the company, the year they came out and the following they have. But I'll make an offer if I like the pictures!

                    Thanks for the replies.

I don't know your price range, but i think the next step up if i recall is the Axe Empire for like $500 and something.

If i were you i'd go to www.techpb.com and go to their for sale section (http://www.techpb.com/forum/index.php?showforum=986). People are always selling all sorts of different guns and are willing to ship them practically everywhere.

Thanks for the offer, i will keep that in mind. Whereabouts do you guys play? You go to a field or does a buddy have a bunch of land?

I had a mini(smaller axe) sold it. I like the old school stuff.

I play hogans, mostly. Have a scenario game this weekend in MA. No "outlaw" or private land that I know of.
