  • 1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo aka SHITBOX

    Please
do not ask if I am parting out my jeep... I do not have the tools, time, space, or motivation.
do not ask why I'm selling it... at least not in this for sale thread.
no low ball offers... which I think includes anything from candy bars to $2,999.
I'm pretty sure I could get $3,000 for it on Craigslist if it eventually comes to that.

It has never been trailered. I always drive it to the trails. It was never my daily driver.

It handles pretty good on the road for an XJ on 37s, but still nothing like a stock vehicle

I have no idea how much to ask for it. I have owned the jeep for over 4 1/2 years. SiS and the XJ have been such a huge part of my life for those 4 1/2 years.

    $5500 OBO

please holy hell in a hand basket, we're going in my broken jeep next week. And I don't care if you wanted this in this thread or not, I'm saying it.

This is the first time one of these threads has truly upset me.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

I have a jeep on 33" A/Ts and I've been in Doug's jeep a million times and even driven it a few and its no worse than my own.
It's not a bad ride at all. The only thing that makes it a little rough is the tires, as far as acceleration, stopping and shifting goes I'd actually go as far as to say it's on par to better than my own.
Is it egg nog season yet?

                          To sum it up...

I still enjoy wheeling... just not as much as I used to. I have wheeled the thing twice since the end of last summer. The vehicle just sits at my parents house in Trumbull while I’m living in Stamford. I don’t think they will be living in Trumbull much longer and don’t want to be on a short time table to sell it.

I will be gone for the month of June. Don’t think it will sell within the next 2 weeks. I just want to get the word out that I’m looking to sell it. Once I’m back in July I’ll put it up on Pirate, Naxja, & Craigslist. I wanted to give SiS first dibs.

I plan on selling it before the end of this wheeling season even if I have to give it away. I plan on getting another job before the end of this year. I plan on getting the job in another state and moving there.

Didn't come to the decision easily, but I've been thinking about it pretty much all of 2010.
