    $300
Jeep Dana 300 from 80's CJ,
23spline Jeep 6 bolt circle pattern

    D300 are 2.6:1 low range
NP231 front CV yoke fit D300.

D300 is a gear to gear T-case allowing you to put either front or rear in High Neutral or Low independent of the other there for allow just low front wheel drive for front digs, or low rear wheel driven whatever combo you want. Stock they limit you from going in H and L at the same time you can easily remove the safety if you want. You can either make or buy twin sticks shifters which attaches a shifter to both the front and rear shift fork.

Originally D300 is for passenger side front axles, however, since D300 are just splash lubed (no pump) you can easily flip the T-case over plug the vent and add a new vent. Then you can either buy custom shifter or make your own, cable shifters are available too. Check out D&D machine for shifters on Pirate sometimes he post his stuff on E-bay too.

Another option is to convert your NP231 into a crawl box and bolt a D300 on the back the combination is about equal in length to a stock NP231. You can also save the NP231 front yoke to be used on the D300.

I can take pictures if you want but they all look the same.

Dana300 are long inputs which is good you can just add a spacer or clocking ring if you need the short if you need the long it will bolt right up.

Novack also sells the clocking ring.

pretty sure I would just double check the Speedo/speed sensor will fit, I'm sure there is a way.
