i have it in .357, and to be honest if i shoot .38 special out of it you dont have to wear hearing protection... its not loud but not as quiet as a .22 sub sonic

I don't know, the marlin .35 lever action I have is all metal I think was made before there was plastic.

I just don't want to buy Chinese junk or a walmart special where you can never get a replacement part.

Whatever I can get my best bang for my buck.

I'll take a look at both the marlin and the savage and I'm not against used either, as long as I know it wasn't abused.


I'm in no hurry just a thought I had today.

Then get a Savage or a Marlin. Both companies have excellent customer service and are American Companies. Marlin Firearms became partner companies with Remington and Bushmaster, so they will still be made here in America as well.

The only plastic part on a Marlin Leveraction is the Magazine Follower.

Also, don't buy a Ruger lever action. They stopped making them for a reason.
