ok guys, i've been told by a respected welder that has a beautiful rig that it would be just fine to reuse the D35 mounts onto the 8.8. what does everyone think?

I would just buy new brackets personally. Just to be on the safe side.

I wouldn't even say fOr safety reasons, if rather buy the new mounts for pure ease of install

it takes a really good hand to cut the brackets off and reuse them, just for the pure fact of saving yourself the time and effort to cut them off, get new ones, that way you will know everything will sit properly on the 88

                          This.

Not only will it be safer/stronger, but it's 1000x easier to just throw the new brackets on when you know they will fit perfectly right off the bat. Definetly worth the money.
