My friend gave a hooters girl a 35 dollar tip one night one a 30 dollar dinner bill. He got her number and everything was looking good. Until he said, "Uh yeah you're gunna have to pick me up because I got a dewy (dui) and lost my license."

The rest of us knew he didn't have a chance to begin with but it was funny watching him waste money. He thought it was a sure thing but it was really a lost cause.

Yep, I worked valet at $6 per hour, Tipping was how I made my living at that job. Its funny how till people work a job that relies on it they just dont really understand.

I don't consider myself a cheap person in the least bit, but I know I'm not and I tip extremely generously, so when someone tells me I'm cheap, I simply lawl at them.

if you are earning your money off of tips, you are gonna perform your best and make sure your customers are satisfied. you shouldn't just 'expect' 20% from people. you need to earn it. there were nights i earned more money than others...why? it depended on my mood. i don't like the restaurants that automatically add the tip onto the bill because then the waitress/waiter isn't going to be that great because no matter what they make that 20%...when your job is to serve people, you make sure you serve.

ive rarely had bad service from a waiter or waitress. i usually do 20% on my handy dandy cell phone eztip calc cuz i suck at math, unless its bad service then i just mentall round it up a little bit.
