My old Suburban project used to be my mom's daily driver, and it had one of those big honkin' car phones with a full handset in it. and my dad keeps his old Linx cell phone that's as big if not bigger than a can of Monster.

I remember being in 1st grade ... 1995 and my grandma had AOL and I though the internet was awesome... i remember searching for NASCAR and I would have a blast just clicking around the internet thinking how awesome it was...

We got our first computer when I was in 3rd grade, but didnt get internet until I was in 4th.. 1998... We had SNET..

56k dial up and it was the bees knees at the time, I loved internet..

Got Cable Internet when I was in 7th grade or so.....

Built my first computer when i was in 10th grade.

Got my first cell sophomore year of HS, it was a prepaid shitty phone, then got Verizon my junior year...

Pretty crazy that from the first time I used the internet back in 1995, fast forward to 2010, 15 years later and I have blazing fast internet on my cell phone that I can do more on than what my grandmas computer 15 years ago could do. My cell phone probably costs less than what her first computer costs too...

Crazy to think how much things have changed in the last 20 years.... Wonder what the next 20...40...and 60 years will have in store... Theres gotta be a point where technology can only advance so much, eventually we gotta reach a point where we cant really cant anymore technologically advanced... pretty nuts.

this was the case, not anymore. we have his some road blocks in the terms of computer architecture. The physical components we are making computers with can only transmit information so fast, and we are reaching these limits. new materiel is out their and ways of transferring info is out their its just R&D is crazy expensive.

Binary computations can only go so fast and get so small, we are coming upon the threshold. Next step, if anyone can come up with a way, quantum computers. It'll make our fastest supercomputers of today look like Roman sandals next to a an F35 (fighter jet, Mike can fill you in, since he builds them by hand and protects the earth while doing so).... Well, that's what they say anyhow.
