also the glock 30 is a nice piece little smaller then the 21. Just DO NOT GET A 5" BARREL FOR CARRY
i agree, i see nothing wrong with them. granted they dont have the accuracy as a 1911 or a sig but they are simple and reliable. and i liked shooting a glock 38 (4" .45 gap).... a lot

A 1911 is the most simple pistol available, though Simplicity may be something to be debated.

A 1911 can be stripped down to the most basic parts using nothing more than a single punch and a hammer, while a glock is a contraption of springs and levers encased within a plastic frame.

Glocks and 1911s work and work reliably, but it is all what you want to carry.

They have bigger metaphorical balls than some of the dudes around here with physical balls.

I have a couple K-bars, they are the best knives i've EVER owned for the money or period actually. The handle is stacked leather disk though, not wood, which means dont get it too too wet or it will discolor, you wouldnt want to do that anyways though since the blades arent stainless either.

I shot a 1911 a couple times, thought it was ok, I mean they feel nice and solid but I wasn't especially impressed. For one they only hold 7 rounds and the one I shot was hitting all over the place.

Im not super big on handguns really, more of a rifle person, but i'd have to say the best ones I had experience shooting were the H&K's, my father has a MK23 that I shoot all the time, its more accurate and holds 12 rounds instead of the 1911's 7. Its not really much more complicated than a 1911 is anyways. I've shot a USP before that I liked quite a bit too, same thing but just smaller.

I agree on Glocks though, they just feel like a toy. Only ones i've ever shot were the 17 and 27, they are ok, just really dont like how they point and feel.

Buy better magazines. My 1911 holds 11 rounds.

Get a double stacked 1911, have it hold 15 rounds.

If you think an HK is 'not much more complicated than a 1911', then I can obviously tell you've never taken either one apart.

I've taken the H&K apart dozens of times. I watched someone take a 1911 apart once. Neither was that bad. Want to see a picture of it taken apart, not that many parts.

And sorry for creating a tangent to your knife thread, but this is interesting too.

Take the slide off 'Take Apart' or do a detail strip and count every spring and plunger?
