A 1911 can be stripped down to the most basic parts using nothing more than a single punch and a hammer, while a glock is a contraption of springs and levers encased within a plastic frame.
Glocks and 1911s work and work reliably, but it is all what you want to carry.sigpic

I have a couple K-bars, they are the best knives i've EVER owned for the money or period actually. The handle is stacked leather disk though, not wood, which means dont get it too too wet or it will discolor, you wouldnt want to do that anyways though since the blades arent stainless either.Last edited by iant333; 05-11-2010, 06:53 PM.01 XJ 3" on 33's and some new paint n stuff. Im not super big on handguns really, more of a rifle person, but i'd have to say the best ones I had experience shooting were the H&K's, my father has a MK23 that I shoot all the time, its more accurate and holds 12 rounds instead of the 1911's 7. Its not really much more complicated than a 1911 is anyways. I've shot a USP before that I liked quite a bit too, same thing but just smaller.
I agree on Glocks though, they just feel like a toy. Only ones i've ever shot were the 17 and 27, they are ok, just really dont like how they point and feel.01 XJ 3" on 33's and some new paint n stuff. Gone.

Get a double stacked 1911, have it hold 15 rounds.
If you think an HK is 'not much more complicated than a 1911', then I can obviously tell you've never taken either one apart.sigpic

And sorry for creating a tangent to your knife thread, but this is interesting too.Last edited by iant333; 05-11-2010, 08:13 PM.01 XJ 3" on 33's and some new paint n stuff. Gone.
