I hate these fucking discussions. I hate when people shit on all these cars, acting like they're fucking experts because they watch top gear.
The bottom line is, if someone handed you the keys to any of these cars, you'd be fucking pumped.
On a side note here's a sick 135i a kid in the car club up here has.

well, depends; if somebody gives me a free car, I would be pumped but 99% of the time to sell the free car and put money into my m3/jeep/whatever.Originally posted by XJLI View Postyou fucking lie.
and that 135 is tits.
the only car I would consider taking over my m3, all money discussions aside, in the above lot is the 335i, and thats only because it would make a better dd. the audi is boring, the benz is beyond gross, and the 135 is the ugliest bmw ever created by a long shot. why they decided to make a small car with a HUGE upper half, similar to a civic, is beyond me. they shoulda made it more like the e36 coupe imo.2001 TJ

Curious, as you're an e36 owner/fan, what's you thoughts on the 318ti? I feel that it was similar to the 1 series, but some found they very ugly and they obviously sold poorly in the states and it seems the 1 series has the same kind of mixed thoughts. My pediatrician from childhoodhas a silver one with the sliding roof/suntop that he is the original owner and I want it. Even though the engine was weak, I always dug to the looks of them. that I didn't buy the 95 m3 I was offered a few years back. Two biggest regrets are both getting rid of my e28 and not having purchased the e36

haha that thing was superfly in its day. Yes, very ugly now but I think it was considered decent looking in late 80's early 90's. Ugly was the style back then... hence why you will never see any 80's cars being considered 'classics' other than a rare few; cj, delorean, etcOriginally posted by XJLI View Posti beg the differ

Put it this way; if I had maybe 2-3 grand to spend on a car, and all that was available is an e36 318ti or a 2000 honda civic, I would jump on the 318ti because its still a true, german made, bmw. Looks arent awesome but its still going to be a better car than 90% of the crap produced today. My only prob with them, other than having half the trunk chopped off, is the reliability, they dont have the super reliable i6. Supposedly the i4 is just a 4 cylinder iteration of the i6 but its just not as time tested and well, you dont see many 318ti's driving around any more.Originally posted by Krazors001 View PostCurious, as you're an e36 owner/fan, what's you thoughts on the 318ti? I think, for the same 2-3 grand, you could get an e36 325 coupe or even an e30 325. Both sweet cars, I am on my 2nd e36 and I dont have any plans on changing. In fact I test drove both the 335i and the 135 last winter and decided to just get another e36 from lack of 'fun' feeling from the new bimmers. My m3 isnt as fast as either but never fails to put a smile on my face.2001 TJ
