Obama has everything to do with this because Obama started to make this issue HIS issue by stating he is going to 'Kick some butt'.

This is and always will be a political issue because Obama now wants to stop all off shore drilling because of this one massive catastrophe. Instead of learning from a mistake, he reverts to his bleeding heart liberalness and now wants to stop it all. There is now a 6 month halt on everything because of Obama when there shouldn't be.

i know I am the minority here. I know you guys hate him. i would recommend watching that daily show episode though. john stewart isn't afraid to give obama some shit when he doesn't follow through and this episode he makes some good jokes about haters. but he talkes about how the US has failed at establishing a clear and effective energy policy for a long time.

I don't mind people getting angry with Obama, or the Democrats or the republicans. I did jump to a conclusion and you were right he made it his issue so it is political now. I will say though when I see crazy lies being spread that I can prove are untrue I will speak up.

but on another note..... the Gulf Oil spill is a horrible mess and I hope we can get it fixed very soon and save as much of the gulf coast as possible.

I knew this was going to be a Follow Up post. Tell someone how incompetent Obama is and they bring up Bush. Yes, we know Bush was rather incompetent as well but he is no longer president.

Technically, we haven't had a competent president for a long time, so I don't know why everyone gets all defensive when I say Obama is just continuing the trend.

But in the end, we shouldn't be blaming Obama for the oil spill, we should be blaming him for his totally asinine comments on how he plans to go after the people who started this mess like they aren't down there trying to stop this from continuing.
