  • Geico insurance

Does anyone use Geico for their primary insurance? I'm looking at different quotes to insure my bike and my jeep with the same company. Geico is much lower than any other company (state farm, progressive, all state, and my current).

I'm thinking it is suspiciously low. Before I pull the trigger with a company I want to make sure there isn't some loophole I'm missing.

I have them, have for coming up on a year. Very easy to work with. Takes like 5 minutes to set it up on the phone. Make vehicle changes right on the net, etc. Highly recommended. Seems like geico is always the cheapest way to go.

Geico has the absolute worst rates for motorcycles. They wanted almost $600 for me to insure my bike. Progressive was more then half that. See if it would be cheaper to register the bike under a different company.

I hear they drop you after an accident. Allstate is good about that

Progressive has always given me the better rate.

              I'm cheap - not perfect

...and I think we'd all be surprised how many companies give to organizations we don't like...and many play both sides of the fence....just like politics

I ended up going with progressive. It was 180$ with medical/ comprehensive and underinsured/ uninsured motorist protection.

i had progressive when i crashed my bike, i think they low balled the fuck out of my bike. Im not sure if it was even totaled, and they wanted a lot to buy it back. They didnt help with any of my medical bill ether. but they wrote me a check for my helmet and gear i was wearing.

i wanted to keep my helmet and hang it on my wall (because it was fucked). but they wouldn't let me keep it, lol

A lot of insurance companies won't let you touch your vehicle after they make a claim on it. When my brother wrecked my old Honda we couldn't even take the speakers and head unit out of it. We had to find out what shop it went to and haggle with the guy until he finally just let us take them out on an "I didn't see it happen" basis, even though it was totalled.

I put an "accessories" insurance on it, so I'll get at least what my exhaust is worth if nothing else

I'm paying like 500/year with american reliable right now, I can't switch cause I payed it in one payment.

I got qouted with gieco, same policy, 363/year.

Got qouted with progressive same policy, 268/year.

Insurance ends in june. I'm switching you progressive then. I should try my jeep too.
