Most people see another earthquake, I see this as another 100 billion pissed away in foreign aid.

My sister says that the water is churning weird colors over in Hawaii. There was a mad rush to get all the Navy ships out to sea where they would be safer. People are trying to surf the waves in but the cops took care of that. As of 530 the Tsunami didn't hit yet but the air raid sirens are going off every 30minutes anyway. She got a nice wake up at 6am by the sirens too.
My parents and sister were freaking out because her boyfriend got called down to Pearl Harbor. Its been a very interesting morning at both Casa de Maru's. Especially waking up to JON THERES A TSUNAMI HEADING FOR HAWAII!!!!!!!!!! Hes back at home now so the peace has been restored. All in all a normal Saturday morning, although most of the chaos canned me wheeling this morningI don't always drink orange juice, but when I do, I prefer to chew it. #madpulp

They've got some egghead on now talking about how "the oscillations were only 6 feet and it's all over but we're not going to cancel the warnings yet" (paraphrasing). And CNN just called him out for crying wolf, ironically.
I just looked up the tides in Hilo and they're pretty close to low tide right now. The tide fluctuation is usually about 3 feet so basically in this case "tsunami" pretty much means "the tide is going in and out really fast".
