Toll Collectors

On Preston and Steve this morning they were talking about an article on The Smoking Gun about complains directed to the toll collectors on the NJ Turnpike aka 95 down south for you guys.

Some are kinda comical. Ive never run into a rude toll collector, theyve always been amazingly nice and even waved me through once when i was short on money. (EZ Pass FTW)

Anyone have a bad story of a toll collector??? In those files some seem pretty harsh...

haha...the only experiences ive ever had with them, and i hit tolls ALL the fucking time, cuz im too dumb to get an EZ pass....theyre either oddly happy, or do not say a word

thats what ive had too lol but apparently theres some good stories out there haha

on the radio one guy was saying a collector had on latex gloves with the money...but then would lick his fingers before he counted the cash. like wtf that defeats the whole purpose!!!

i heard somewhere toll collectors get paid decent/pretty well...wonder if theres truth to that

I heard they got paid well too and there was a waiting list to get a job like that...just googled this:

Job Title: Part-Time Toll Collector
Salary: $11.32/Hour
Hours: Scheduled for eight hours each Saturday and Sunday. Shifts are as follows:

10:30 PM to 6:30 AM Friday and Saturday Nights
6:30 AM to 2:30 PM Saturday and Sunday Mornings
2:30 PM to 10:30 PM Saturday and Sunday Afternoons
Note: Most new collectors will be assigned a rotation of the above until a steady shift becomes available.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of two pre-screening tests and pre-employment physical including drug testing.
• Must have valid drivers' license and be bondable.
• Must successfully complete one year probation period before consideration for any full-time position.

The Part-time Toll Collection schedule is particularly attractive to College Students.
If called for testing and/or processing, please do not bring children.
