I have an old computer and I was wondering if I could take out the hard drive and use it as an external hard drive for my laptop. If so, what do I need to do?

anyway, you can buy external HD enclosures that accept an internal HD...then u just plug it in to your new comp via firewire or USB...simple stuff, u just have to get an enclosure setup for the HD youre taking out- Will

right how old is old. need to identify the type of old drive, IDE or Sata. Then buy the appropriate drive enclosure. With todays prices the enclosure might cost more then a cheap external hard drive.Comment
