    ehhhhhhhhhh.......

tough deal to pass up but i wouldn't do it. 4.88's are already weak in an HP30
standard rotation 4.88's are even weaker

If it was HP, I would be driving down there right now to pick it up.

But maybe i will get a junkyard axle and build it up.

            me too

            BUT

did you cut and turn yo knuckles? that has alotta to do with it.

            anyway

on paper low pinion is weaker
and people say a lp44 is no upgrade from a hp30

but i have seen several hp30 gearset failures on 33's-35's. and my 44 with low gears (lower=weaker on paper too) keep on tickin with beadlocked 35's- sticky 37's, and when i need to back up something i have a little more peace of mind (being on the drive side of the gears)

as for driveshaft height, if the knuckles are turned and you have a decent pinion angle it doesn't suck too much, only a little suck. if ya dont do that it sucks hardcore.

                my lp d44 is sweet.

my control arm protect the yoke. i would have to place my front end perfectly on a rock to mess it up.

if you use any bit of finesse when you wheel you will be fine

dunno, maybe i dont wheel hard enough for my input to be relevant

                  Quick question-

What does LP or HP stand for?

                  Thanks.

Also, when you say youre running open, does that mean not locked? or is that another term?

you guys have good arguments and i would consider a lp44 front as well. but this is a lp30. somethin says not to trust it

the fact that someone put money into a lp30 blows my face

i wouldnt even put brakes on one when you can get a hp30 for like 80-100 bucks all day long
