after trading in my LJ Rubicon, i almost tear up when i see any LJ. I miss the idea of it, but if i still had it i know i would make the same decision. I think i miss something when its more rare. How can someone feel an attachment to a cherokee when 1.2 million were produced?

Im on the attached side..My 99 XJ brought be out of depression after my 3rd shoulder surgury, even when theres nothing left to her she will prob have a nice life just sittin in the yard...Same goes for my ford danger ranger, it was my first vehicle and i just have so much time invested and alot of good memories.98 Cherokee, D30/8.25 w/4.56s locked F/R -- 3 link front IRO springs rear with shackle relocation, one ton steering w/heims, hybrid cage under contruction, 33'' KM2's

Personally I would never sell my green jeep (heavymetal) ever. its been with me since the start in 04, and has been through a lot. it isnt something i could just replace and feel the same way about...it will just change with how i need it over time
this thought came to me as i toyed with the idea of parting DM out to fund other things...and even that project i have some restraints about parting with..
1. You put in long hours and spend cash and bust up your hands and get covered in oil/gas/atf/gear oil wrenching on your vehicle so you grow attached to the vehicle because it demonstrates the results of your input of time, money and energy.
2. You go wheeling/traveling to new places in your vehicle and see amazing scenery and explore new places, so there is a connection between all the places you have been and the vehicle that took you there.
3. When you wheel, you push your vehicle to the limits (some more so than others) and run gnarly obstacles so you form a bond of trust with the vehicle, by trusting it to keep you safe (or not so safe) and to be reliable (or not so reliable).You're a ___________
