i just had to pull a powerstroke out of one of these trucks the last few weekends. talk about tightly packed. what a pain in the ass. it was really not fun. the reason it came out was for a new oil pan. it ended up needing an oil cooler, alternator, water pump, starter, block heater, and a few other things. than we had to put it back in.

ive grown so much more hate for ford after doing a motor swap on these... the engineers should be slapped for not thinking of wat would ever happen if people had to pull the motor out... takes forever to line up with the tranny.. and all in all just not fun.

A guy at work has a extended cab 8ft bed. Its a nice truck with the diesel. Hes got 220k miles on it and most of its towing.
