i know the windmill... used to walk there all the time as a kid.

their old house is that sits right next to the yacht club. i forget the name of the little road that takes you back to the BRYC, but their house was off that lane. family name is "shirley"... they got divorced a few years back and sold the house. not even sure how long ago that was. maybe 5+ years.

haha I'm right on Bass River. I live on River street a few houses past the windmill. I am quite familiar with Ship Shops and BRYC. Did your your grandparents live on pleasant street or on an offshoot of pleasant street? Its like a 1 minute drive from Ship shops to my house.

4low, do you like it up there? If I had the money I think I would live there. I love being by the water, even if the wheeling there sucks.

let's just say it was a fun place to visit. i am not sure i'd want to live there year-round. as a family we used to come up every summer for two to three weeks. my dad's father had a boat and we'd go out sailing. we also had canoe or would rent kayaks and go out with the tide and ride it back in. more importantly, i knew were every ice-cream place was within a 20 min drive

it's too pricey for me, and as mentioned, the crowd in that part of the state is a bit old... not to mention dealing with tourist drivers who can't manage a rotary

it'll be a fun weekend, but i'll be glad to leave when the time comes.

haha are you a fan of the Sundae school? We do the same, we go up for 2 weeks usually early in the summer, then rent the house out the rest of the season. If we didn't there's no way we could afford to keep that place.
