driving/wheeling a lifted jeep/truck for the "image"

I have noticed several people who seem to hate being on the trail bouncing their jeeps off rocks and shit. I have noticed many people who try to come up with an excuse when it comes to wheeling. many times its the people in the super clean rigs who have not much but a scratch and enjoy wheeling in muddy fields.

Mine really only drives to the trail now, except for the occasional I feel like being badass around town or fuck around in the snow till a cop pulls me over and tells me to go home cause he could take the truck right off the road but instead I'll give you a seatbelt ticket and dont let me see you again...

Pretty much keep it off the road till you get shiz fixed. He pulled me over cause my taillights werent workin so I fixed my fuse in front of him, then he was like oh your license plate is gone. SO i said it just fell off, i hit a rock and showed him my plate i had in my cab and ziptied it to the grill. Then he was oh well where ya goin its snowin blizzard condtions probably gonna go fuck around in the snow so go home and dont let me see you again. Oh heres a seatbelt ticket.

So far anytime i've been harassed in parking lots and such they always start off asking why im there, yadda yadda, then they start bullshitting about jeeps. Usually it goes

"Is that a 4.5?"
"No, 3.5"
"Oh, I used to have one...blah blah..have a good night, dont hang out in parking lots"
And that's usually scum fuck west haven cops.

I chose that I do it a little for the image only because thats why I had a lifted Jeep in high school. I do take it wheeling every chance I get but I still like driving it around for what it is

my mentality as a whole with this jeep has been function over form. I cut it up, hell i lived with no stereo for 4 months cause tires were a more important expenditure.

that and idk about the body damage thing, the only damage my jeep really has is scratches and lots of rock rash underneath, the body is in pretty good shape mainly cause my jeep has armor. i'm not afraid to drive it into a tree though or flop it, as long as it still works afterwards, i'll be happy.
