I can vouch that an STT can take getting hit by a Jeep Liberty on the highway doing about 75 mph. No damage to tire.

                          good in snow?

I think all tires are preference and related to your style of driving. I have Maxxis Big horns. I have cut a sidewall. So, from now on I will think they all cut side walls. In all honesty, most the tires made would have cut the same sidewall in the same place. You need to look at sidewall layer when purchasing tires if that is important to you. Every name brand tire has its goods and bads.

I would still buy another set of Maxxis tires. They seem to grip well and I don't get any uneasy feeling on the street or lack of confidence in the woods. They were pretty cheap when I bought them.

P.S. and they are Jeep Forum approved and you know how far that will go.

P.S.S. I made that snowy hill.

wow, thats amazing! a smooth, painted, clear coated surface did nothing when it gently rubbed your tire

never been stuck in mud with either tire, and don't plan on going mudding so i dont give a shit.

but from what i hear creepy crawlers are excellent in the mud.

oh and i hate you for making me think of creepy crawlers again.

sure does suck when you tear a sidewall on a tire with 98% tread.

kinda why i can't bring myself to run a generic mud terrain.
