So sam i just want to know for curiosity sake? Why do you hate STTs so much? What is your bad experience with them and their "suck tread" or side wall you speak of?

i just don't agree with everyone else that they are gods gift to rubber. They perform just the same as any other mud terrain out there. There is no reason to go "OMG MUST BUY STT'S NO OTHER TIRE WILL DO"

Well IMHO, they wear better than any Mud terrain on the road (minus the km2 cause i have no experience with them) and they grip on just about any surface pretty well where as most MT tires have one good calling, slick rock, or mud etc. It used to be that if you had a lifted anything BFG mts were the only choice, then MT/Rs and now alot of people love STTs, give it some time a new tire will come out and everyone will want them too, i just know that my stts are in great shape for the miles on them and wheel great in snow and on trials for the wee amount of trail time i have had.

you ran every mud terrain but the bfg mud terrain km2? damn, they must wear like shit in comparison seeing you managed to go through them all so quickly.

                      good in snow?

You know what i mean dude, experience goes for personal and non personal as well as reviews and such. I just dont see what they have done to make you think that they are not as good as we all make them out to be. I say they are a great tire because they are good for just about everything within reason, not one area specific but across the board they are an all around good tire where as others are usually only good in one category.

And they are great in snow.

I'd have to agree with sam on this one, every person that owns a certain brand m/t swears by their own. If i were to buy one i would have to go with Toyo. A couple of my friends run them and yea they are expensive as balls but they wear like nothing i have seen, and are tough as nails.

I've learned my lesson. I don't swear by any tires. I just have a long list of ones I'll never run.
