I think they realize since they have completely raped their lines of vehicles anyway, they might as well just market towards cheerleaders because that is their biggest market right now.

Sad thing is it's still a business...target audience has changed. Going for those married family soccer mom kinda people cause they can afford to buy the new ones. No ones buying new cars for fun. They're buying for being prayicsl if buying at all. My jeep was "used" with like 13 miles on it lol
