when i was getting ready to go into college everyone was like OMG you're going to be in the library until 3 am studying, so much work, you can never get a job because you're always going to be writing papers, studying, etc...

i'm almost done with my four years and i have never once studied in the library, pulled an all-nighter, or feel pressed for time about a project, paper, etc. it's all about time management. i am able to have a job (i babysit) and i have been traveling every weekend from new york to connecticut without a problem. i get my work done during the week and enjoy my weekends.

like i said. make sure you can manage your time well. i know a lot of people who just can't get themselves organized and it kicked them in the ass.

        Yesssss.

My homework was going to the shooting range, and even then it was completely optional.

Think hard about what you really wanna do...sometimes its best to go in that first year undecided an get your general eds out of the way and get a feel for what you like doing. Some words of advice i was told: "your job is something you stick with that you dont enjoy, make your job a hobby and you'll always have fun." My friends father always told me that while i was looking for schools and deciding what i wanna do.

As for time management and always studying....yeah, i play softball (yr round commitment), have 3 jobs, and 5 classes and still manage to get my work done and have never pulled an all nighter. It is possible if youre well organized; dont listen to a lot of people out there with that mentality of never having a life. In more cases you can still get away with having a good time, but keeping up with your work.

I go to Richard stockon College of NJ for business Management. So far I love it here. I came here because the campus is awesome, its the size I want, and I play lax here DIII. it is also about 2 hours away, which is far enough from home, but close enough that if I have to come home it is reasonable. However, it is in Jersey so you probably won"t care anyway.

I go to Massachusetts Maritime Academy for a degree in Marine Engineering. I'm also getting licensed to work as a Third Engineer in the Merchant Marine. I like engineering but it is hard and you def. need a passion for it. I like the Merchant Marine side of it too. Especially the $$

if you commute to school, youll be very tempted not to go on a regular basis. if you go away, dont listen to nicole. pick the best party scene you can get. let me ask you this. do you like wimmin? i leave you with that.

oh tom. it's a good thing you decided on the AF.

yes, having a good party scene is definitely awesome, but paying thousands of dollars to fail out of a school, have your parents disappointed in you, and have to move home with nothing to show but your new beer gut and probably some sort of STD...hmmmm..doesn't seem too good to me

I looked at University of New Hamster, wasn't a huge fan. Kinda in the middle of nowhere. You should go to Umass amherst instead. Pick a cool major like forestry so you get to spend several hours a week in the woods. You also don't pay anywhere close to out of state tuition for that particular major. Not to mention there's some damn good wheeling just 20 minutes off campus in either direction.

Fuck college. I'm a freshman at Eastern in Willimantic and it is soo fucking boring here. The classes are sooo easy and I find it to be a joke. Every day I consider what I can do differently that isn't going to cost me $20,000 a year.
